Scholars Advent Recollection: Reflection and Renewal

 Scholars from Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU) and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) – Pili Campus recently came together for the Scholarship Program’s annual Advent Recollection on December 06, 2025. This cherished tradition provides an important space for students to pause, reflect, and prepare their hearts for the Christmas season amidst their demanding academic schedules. 

The day of spiritual nourishment was led by Fr. John Robert Bañal, whose insightful talk resonated deeply with the scholars. His message focused on the themes of waiting, hope, and the importance of finding a purposeful “inner stillness” in an increasingly busy world. Through guided prayer and shared reflection, the scholars were encouraged to look beyond their personal goals and recognize their roles as instruments of light within their communities.

“Sometimes, life will bring to a place where it feels like there’s no hope at all. You’ll meet people that will humble you and bring hope into your life as much as you bring it to them,” said Arabella Alarma, a scholar from CBSUA.
