Training on food handling and customer service held

On April 15, the personnel of Coko Café headed by Teresa Immaculada Paylado, Restaurant Manager and Grace Binlayo, Assistant Restaurant Manager attended a seminar on food handling, safety, and customer service.

The resource speaker was Dr. Jennifer V. Perez, a faculty member of Central Bicol State University- Calabanga Campus under the College of Industrial Technology.  The said training was part of an effort to improve employees’ skills as they fulfill their daily tasks.

The training on food safety focused on safe food storage, preparation, and hygiene practices to prevent foodborne illnesses, aiming to create a safer dining experience for customers. Meanwhile, the training on customer service emphasized customer service skills, such as effective communication and problem resolution. 

The activity was also a means to emphasize the Foundation’s desire to ensure professional development among its staff.

According to Mylene Zape- Tipay, Cashier, she learned how to better understand and meet customer needs. “Dapat fast service, tama an pag-take nin order, sincere an pagkaulay sa customer asin dapat halaba an pasensya, (fast service, correct order-taking, patience, and sincerity in talking with customers).”

In 2006, Coko Cafe started operation inside the campus of Ateneo de Naga University. The Coko Cafe provides food services to the university community CCMF employees, guests, and visitors.
