Microfinance Managers undergo refresher training
A two-day training, titled Managers’ Mandate, was held on April 26 and May 10, 2025. Microfinance Area and Branch Managers were in attendance. John Kety Perez, Training Officer, facilitated the activity. The training aimed to assist the managers have a better understanding of their duties and roles.
On April 26, the session focused on defining and discussing the four major management functions – planning, organizing, leading, and controlling – as well as how these could be performed effectively in daily operations. The training also aimed to help participants identify and overcome common barriers to effectiveness, time management, and prioritization.
On May 10 the strategies for ensuring the sustainability of microfinance branches, including topics on financial management, risk assessment, client retention, operational efficiency, effective delegation techniques, task assignment, monitoring, and feedback to improve team productivity and accountability were discussed.
Participants are branch managers namely Jinky Bertulfo, Jose Benny Villaralvo, Gerry Cabalquinto, Jerwin Marpuri, Edeneil Fajilan, Jerry Gutierrez, Lilybhet Tabios, Joey Zorilla, Dominador Dollisen, Joel Federis as well as the area managers Mark Anthony Orlango, Roy Austria and Christian Lorente.
