CCMF-Bikol welcomes OJTs from Calabanga Community College

In a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Calabanga Community College headed by Angel B. Belleza, PhD., College Administrator, CCMF-Bikol commits to provide graduating BS Entrepreneurship students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in both field and office settings as part of their on-the-job training (OJT).

A career guidance session was held on February 19 to prepare graduating students for their OJT.

According to the Foundation’s Training Officer John Kety Perez, “The questions revolved around the roles of Community Enterprise Development Officers and Finance Aides; participants expressed excitement about the joy of serving the marginalized sector.”

The 250-hour OJT will offer a comprehensive experience of how CCMF-Bikol works toward poverty alleviation. The trainees will also be given priority in the Foundation’s job recruitment.

On March 10 sixteen students began their training in the Naga and Calabanga Branches of the Microfinance Program.

At the Naga Central Branch, Rinalyn Pron’s OJT focused on document accuracy and office management, fueling her personal growth. She shared: “The experiences helped me learned how office work is done and how important it is to listen carefully, follow instructions and work well with others. It also gains me more confidence and made me more interested in learning new things.”
