It is important so we will have a good rapport with co-workers, avoid misunderstandings and become productive employees), says Diecel Gonzales, Internal Finance Officer, who attended the training on August 2.
The activity is part of the year-round Training Program for the personnel.
Aimed at improving the participants’ communication skills, the training was an opportunity to identify strategies for active listening and avoid miscommunication. Participants were also asked to determine usual nonverbal cues.
Earlier, a similar training was held on July 26 attended by the Microfinance staff who focused on the importance of proper communication in customer service. Enhancing skills in customer service is a priority of the Training Program as the Community Enterprise Development Officers (CEDOs) are expected to deliver effective services to Microfinance members. John Kety Perez, Training Officer, was the facilitator on both dates.
The Training Program aims to equip the personnel with essential knowledge and skills so they can be of good service to the Foundation’s beneficiaries.
