Scholars hold 2nd Sem. Assembly
On January 11, scholars from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture -Pili (CBSUA- Pili) and Ateneo de Naga University gathered for their assembly for the second semester of academic year 2024 to 2025. Currently, the Foundation has 54 scholars and 201 graduates, 24 from CBSUA and 177 from ADNU.
According to Flordeliz SA. Cabrera, Chief of Administration, the scholars revisited the Foundation’s vision and mission statements during the assembly. The scholars were also asked to give their comments and suggestions on the apprenticeship program, an essential component of their scholarship. Completion of the duty hours is required to renew the scholarship every semester.
The scholars taking up Agriculture-related courses are assigned to the farm at San Fernando, Camarines Sur. Their tasks are supervised by the Madrigal Integrated Farming and Training Program (MIFTP). Meanwhile, scholars enrolled in Entrepreneurship, and Religious and Values Education render their duty hours at the Madrigal Center in the ADNU- Main Campus.
According to Melvin Panganiban, scholar from ADNU, “Magayunon na magin iskolar, yaon an pag-balance ko sa sakuyang oras tanganing magibo ko an sakuyang obligasyon bilang estudyante. Bilang iskolar kan Foundation, yaon an pagtabang asin pag-encourage kan mga yaon sa Foundation na magigibo mo an gabos nin huli ta yaon an Mahal na Dyos.(It is great to become scholar. I learn how to manage my time to ensure I complete my duty hours while I work on my academic requirements. The staff of the Foundation encourages me to have more faith to God.)”
The scholars are also assigned to man the Foundation’s booth at the annual Bishop Francisco Gainza Trade Fair every month of September.
